  • This dataset contains the Hydrology (HYD) data collected on Franklin voyage FR 03/1985. The voyage took place in the Tasman and Coral Seas during 8-27 June 1985. This dataset has been processed and archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report (as available). Franklin on-voyage hydrology data are typically obtained from water samples collected in Niskin bottles at various depths during each CTD cast. Parameters measured normally comprise temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, phosphate, nitrate, silicate and nitrite.

  • This dataset contains the processed Hydrology (HYD) data collected on Franklin voyage FR 10/86 by the first operational test of the Programmable Water Sampler (PWS) and the Sample Separator (SS) at sea. The voyage took place in the Tasman Sea from 9-19 December 1986. This dataset has been processed and is archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report (as available). Note: This data appears to be test data.

  • This record describes Hydrology (HYD) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator voyage in2015_c02 titled Great Australian Bight Deep Water Pelagic and Benthic Ecosystem Study, departing Port Lincoln on the 30th November and arriving in Fremantle on the 22nd of December, 2015. Hydrology samples were collected from niskin bottles sampled at various depths during a Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) deployment. Parameters analysed were salinity, dissolved oxygen, phosphate, silicate, nitrate plus nitrite and ammonium. Samples were also collected every 2 hours for nutrient analysis from the underway system which collects water from a 7 m depth and is not filtered. This dataset has been archived within the CSIRO O&A Information and Data Centre (IDC) in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the voyage report and data processing report.

This dataset contains oceanographic data collected at a coastal station off Jervis Bay, New South Wales/A.C.T. (lat. 35 deg. 07 min. S, long. 150 deg. 52 min. E) between September 1958 and July 1960. The station was set up under the CSIRO coastal monitoring programme in the 1950s and was sampled on a few occasions only for temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen. Data from 1960 only are stored on-line as part of the CMR hydrology archive in Hobart. Additional copies of the data are deposited with the NODC data archive (World Data Centre-A) in the U.S.A., and details of relevant data files can be viewed via their website by requesting the file inventory for this coastal station which is NODC platform code "09F5". Station details, plus printed versions of the 1958 data, have been published in CSIRO's "Oceanographical Station List" series. NB - As the database has been lost, the only data still available are those published in the JERVIS BAY BASELINE STUDIES Final Report.

This dataset contains oceanographic data collected at a series of 50m to 400 m coastal stations off Kiama, New South Wales (lat. 34 deg. 40 min. S, long. 150 deg. 53 min. E to 151 deg 10 min E) in 1958 and at lat. 35 deg. 40 min. S, long. 150 deg. 30 min. E in 1960. The station was set up under the CSIRO coastal monitoring programme in the 1950s and was sampled for temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen at depths intervals of 10m or greater, below the surface. Sampling was undertaken on one date in September 1958, and again between February and July 1960. The data are stored on-line as part of the CMR hydrology archive in Hobart. Additional copies of the 1960 data are deposited with the NODC data archive (World Data Centre-A) in the U.S.A., and details of relevant data files can be viewed via their website by requesting the file inventory for this coastal station which is NODC platform code "09F4". Station details, plus printed versions of the 1958 data, have been published in CSIRO's "Oceanographical Station List" series.
