This product (i.e. Access data base) contains data (longitudes, latitude and biodiversity attribute variables) that describes the predicted spatial patterns of biodiversity categories based on species richness and evenness of demersal fish in the NWMR. This product provides predictions for total species abundance, species richness and species evenness and estimates of uncertainty for demersal fish. The predicted patterns are represent as point data arranged on a 0.1 degree grid (~ 1.2 km2) covering depths 50-1500 metres in the NWMR
This product (i.e. an Access database and csv files) contains data (longitude, latitude and physical data) that explains the predicted spatial patterns of benthic habitats for demersal fish and benthic invertebrates in the SWMR. Predicted patterns for habitats represent point data on a 0.01 decimal degree grid covering most of the SWMR (approximately 400,000 square km).
This product (i.e. Access data base) contains data (longitudes, latitude and biodiversity attribute variables) that describes the predicted spatial patterns of total species abundance, species richness and species evenness for both benthic invertebrates and demersal fish in the SWMR. The predicted patterns are represent as point data arranged on a 0.1 degree grid (~ 1.2 km2) covering depths 50-1500 metres in the SWMR.
This dataset contains the processed Hydrology (HYD) data collected on Diamantina voyage Dm 1/71. The voyage took place in the Indian Ocean and Western Australia Coast during March - April 1971. This dataset has been processed and is archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report (as available). Diamantina on-voyage hydrology data are typically obtained from water samples collected in Nansen bottles at various depths. Parameters measured normally comprise temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen and inorganic phosphate.
This dataset contains the processed Hydrology (HYD) data collected on Diamantina voyage Dm 3/73. The voyage took place off the Western Australia Coast during August 1973.
Multibeam echosounder data collected on Southern Surveyor voyage 07/2005 using the Simrad EM300 multibeam echosounder to acquire high resolution seafloor bathymetry and backscatter information. This voyage took place off Western Australian coast during July and August 2005. Ping rate varied according to depth. Data are stored in Simrad *.all raw format at CMAR and Geoscience Australia (GA). There are 660 files totalling 13.6 GB of raw data in this dataset. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report (as available).
This dataset contains the Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) data collected using the towed Nacelle platform on Southern Surveyor voyage SS2011_v04. The voyage took place in Leeuwin Current off the West Australian coast from 25th August to the 13th September 2011. This dataset has been processed and archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset may be contained in the Voyage Summary and the Data Processing Report(as available).
This record describes multibeam echosounder data collected on RV Investigator voyage IN2024_V01, 'Multidisciplinary Investigations of the Southern Ocean' which departed Hobart on 05/01/2024 and returned to Fremantle on 05/03/2024. The Kongsberg EM710 MKII multibeam echosounder was used to acquire seafloor bathymetry and backscatter information and watercolumn backscatter from Hobart, along the Antarctic ice edge to Fremantle. The EM710 MKII provides a 0.5° by 1° transmit and receive angular resolution respectively. The echosounder's nominal frequency range is from 40 to 100 kHz. Data are stored in *.all raw format for bathymetry and backscatter and *.wcd format for watercolumn backscatter at CSIRO. There are 135 files totalling 126.9 GB of raw data in this dataset. Sound velocity profiles were applied to this data during data acquisition. Bathymetry data contained in *.all format are corrected for motion and position. GPS tide was computed using the EGM2008 model and applied to the processed data. Processed data has had outliers removed. Processed line data are available in *.gsf and ascii format, and processed bathymetry grids in geotiff format. Additional information regarding this dataset, including further information on processing streams, is contained in the GSM data acquisition and processing report. Additional data products may be available on request.
This record describes SVP data collected on RV Investigator voyage IN2024_V01, 'Multidisciplinary Investigations of the Southern Ocean' which departed Hobart on 05/01/2024 and returned to Fremantle on 05/03/2024. A total of 131 SVP casts were conducted over the duration of this voyage. Data are stored in ASCII format files with extention *.000 at CSIRO. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the GSM data acquisition and processing report. Additional data products may be available on request.
