The RV Investigator travelled from Singapore to Hobart on her maiden voyage, departing Singapore on the 24th of August 2014 and arriving in Hobart on the 9th of October 2014. The primary purpose of the voyage, aside from transit, was familiarisation of the equipment and to test and configure the geophysical and acoustic systems. Further objectives were testing the K-Sync utility and developing synchronisation groups for different depths and performing noise tests on the biological acoustics (ME70, EK60).
