The Kongsberg SBP120 (Sub bottom profiler) was used to acquire data along the East Coast of Tasmania. Data are stored in *.raw raw and *.seg segy formats at CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere. There are 82 files totalling 5.17 GB of raw data in this dataset. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the GSM data acquisition and processing report.

  • This record describes echosounder data collected on RV Investigator Event voyage IN2014_E03 which departed Hobart on the 10 Nov 2014 and returned to Hobart on the 17 Nov 2014. The Simrad ME70 echosounder was used to acquire water column data in from the East Coast of Tasmania. Data are stored in Simrad *.raw raw format at CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere. There are 101 files totalling 9.45 GB of raw data in this dataset. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the GSM data acquisition and processing report.

  • This record describes the Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator voyage IN2014_E03. This is the first trial voyage for the RV Investigator departing Hobart on the 11th November and returning to Hobart on the 17th November 2014. PLEASE NOTE - ADCP data was not collected on this trial voyage.

  • This record describes multibeam echosounder data collected on RV Investigator voyage IN2014_E03 which departed Hobart on the 11 Nov 2014 and returned to Hobart on 17 Nov 2014. The Kongsberg EM710 multibeam echosounder was used to acquire seafloor bathymetry and backscatter information from the East Coast of Tasmania. Ping rate varied according to depth. Data are stored in *.all raw format at CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere. There are 115 files totalling 9.47 GB of raw data in this dataset. There are 20 files of Water column data for parts of this survey (7.76 GB), 34 sound velocity profiles were applied to this data during data acquisition. Tide corrections were not applied to the processed data. Processed data are available in XYZ and GSF format. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the GSM data acquisition and processing report. Additional data products available on request.

  • This record describes multibeam echosounder data collected on RV Investigator voyage IN2014_E03 which departed Hobart on the 11 Nov 2015, and returned to Hobart on 17 Nov 2015. The Kongsberg EM122 multibeam echosounder was used to acquire seafloor bathymetry and backscatter information from the East Coast of Tasmania. Ping rate varied according to depth. Data are stored in *.all raw format at CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere. There are 127 files totalling 5.37 GB of raw data in this dataset. A total of 34 sound velocity profiles were applied to this data during data acquisition. Tide corrections were not applied to the processed data. Processed data are available in XYZ and GSF format. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the GSM data acquisition and processing report. Additional data products available on request.

  • This record describes Hydrology (HYD) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator Event voyage IN2014_E03. This is the first trial voyage for the RV Investigator departing Hobart on the 11th November and returning to Hobart on the 17th November 2014. This dataset has been archived within the CSIRO O&A in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report. Investigator on-voyage hydrology data are typically obtained from water samples collected in Niskin bottles at various depths during each CTD cast. Parameters measured normally comprise temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, phosphate, nitrate, silicate, and nitrite. Please note that quality flags for this dataset were modified on May 27, 2019 (see details in the Lineage section below).

  • This record describes Zooplankton and Phytoplankton data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator Event voyage IN2014_E03. This is the first trial voyage for the RV Investigator departing Hobart on the 11th November and returning to Hobart on the 17th November 2014. The samples will be collected using Bongo, EZ, N70 vertical haul and neuston nets with the Rectangular Midwater Trawl (RMT) net as a back up for the EZ net. The samples collected will be preserved and later processed by Kerrie Swadling and students from the University of Tasmania (UTAS) and archived at UTAS. Processed data will be archived by UTAS and distributed via AODN. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report.

  • This record describes the Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator voyage IN2014_E03. This is the first trial voyage for the RV Investigator departing Hobart on the 11th November and returning to Hobart on the 17th November 2014. CTD data is collected using a 12/24/36 bottle rosette which can include auxilliary instruments such as: ecotriplet, transmissometer and fluorometers (phytoplankton, oxygen flourescence and turbidity). CTD are sampled at specified stations (refer to map), the system can operate at a maximum depth of 6,000 metres. The 12 bottle carousel CTD is used for trace metal work. The CTD data for this voyage will not be processed. Processing may be arranged upon request.

  • This record describes Underway (UWY) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator Event voyage IN2014_E03. This is the first trial voyage for the RV Investigator departing Hobart on the 11th November and returning to Hobart on the 17th November 2014. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report. The UWY data from this trial voyage was assessed and will not be processed as the quality is too variable to make it feasible/useful. The unprocessed UWY data is part of the EOV archive and will not be released.
