The dataset comprises output from 10 general circulation ocean models contributing to the 4th Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The models span the globe however a subset encompassing the Indonesian Throughflow and Leeuwin Current region in the East Indian Ocean has been extracted. Ocean horizontal resolutions of the models range from approximately 1 degree to 2.5 degree, and vertical resolutions expand from the surface to their maximum depths. Outputs cover the period from late 1800's to 2100 (2200 for some models) with monthly outputs of zonal and meridioanl current velocity, wind speed and stress of the full 3-dimensional fields.
The CSIRO Dawn-2100 archive contains datasets for atmospheric, land and oceanographic variables for the approximate period 1850 - 2100 (dependent on model). These have been created through the concatenation of 20th century (20C3M) and other scenario (currently SRESA1B or SRESA2) data from a number of the 25 differant global climate models (GCM) from various countries. The SRESA2_tmaxmin dataset contains the Air temperature near surface max and min variables for various GCM's and runs (multiple runs being averaged to a single file if existing) under the scenario SRESA2 emissions 2001 to 2100. These variables have also been further analysed to give monthly, seasonal and annual trend data, calculated from a monthly timeseries referenced to the area-weighted mean global warming values. 5 GCM models are available with data for variables being in 12 month, annual and 4 seasons(DJF, MAM,JJA,SON) format with 16 files totaling 1.74 GB as Netcdf files. Available for internal use and analysis by CSIRO staff on the HPSC cherax.
The CSIRO Mk3 climate system model contains a comprehensive representation of the four major components of the climate system (atmosphere, land surface, oceans and sea-ice), and in its current form is as comprehensive as any of the global coupled models available worldwide. The Mk3 model will be used to investigate the dynamical and physical processes controlling the climate system, for multiseasonal predictions, and for investigations of natural climatic variability and climatic change.

The SRESA2_cal_evap dataset in particular contains the Morton variables Lake evaporation (EVAP), Areal actual evapotranspiration (AVAP), Point potential evapotranspiration (PVAP) and Areal potential evapotranspiration (WVAP) (which have been calculated from GCM outputs of air temperature, (calculated) relative humidity, solar radiation, annual rainfall average for 1975-2004 and monthly constants of `a and b` to calculate sunshine ratio) under the SRESA2 scenario emissions from 2001 to 2100 . These variables have also been further analysed to give monthly, seasonal and annual trend data, calculated from a monthly timeseries referenced to the area-weighted mean global warming values. 8 GCM models are available with data for variables being in 12 month, annual and 4 seasons(DJF, MAM,JJA,SON) format with 80 files totaling 12.5 GB as Netcdf files. The CSIRO archive of the Tas Futures 2008 Regional Climate Model simulation datasets for the years 1961-2100. Created with the CSIRO CCAM (Cubic Conformal Amostpheric Model) RCM (Regional Climate Model) by dynamically downscaling the CSIRO mk3.5 (Commenwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation mk 3.5) outputs to 60 km resolution (C64 Grid) with the main target area centered over Australasia. These runs have been completed using only bias corrected SST(Sea Surface Temperatures) and Sea Ice (No Atmospheric) forcings. 4X Daily atmospheric variables are available globally at 18 levels with .5º (60km) resolution on a C64 Grid. There are 1680 daily files in netcdf format, totaling approximately 2.47 TB. Regional climate data is also available for CCAM nested in other GCMS as part of this project. This dataset has also been further downscaled to 14km resolution for the Tasmania region.
